Friendly Gecko ist ein "social guest house" in Dar es Salaam, Tansania. Wir wollen eine angenehme und qualitativ hochwertige Unterkunft zu fairen Preisen bieten. Als "soziales" Guest House werden bis zu 100% des Gewinnes in das help2kids Kinderheims in unmittelbarer Nähe investiert. Damit soll der Tourismus einen Beitrag an die Refinanzierung des Kinderheims leisten und dieses finanziell entlasten.

"I had a really nice time at this hostel!! It felt like a home-away-from-home. It is by far one of the cleanest places that I have stayed during my time in Tanzania and I have yet to find a nicer hot shower! The other people that were staying at the hostel during my time were really friendly and helped me to get around and find things to do in the area. The house was in a very safe area of town- I would never consider staying in the city center if there is a bed available at the Friendly Gecko! I will most certainly return to the hostel on my next trip to Dar!!"

"Dear Friendly gecko guest house, I was a volunteer at the help2kids orphanage. This house was my home during 3 months. At the beginning the Guest House was empty and now it’s a beautiful and confortable place. Fortunately, Amanda was coming one day and we saw the first guests. It was a wonderful experience. "My dear Friendly gecko and Amanda, I spent 3 months of my life in this beautiful guest house. I saw the evolution of this place and I was really happy to welcome Amandine. As soon as Amandine arrived the house became a real guest house. My 3 months in this guest house were wonderful. Meeting different guests everyday was really exciting.
